Hours of TNG

IMG_0913

I'm looking forward...Leftover lasagna reheated in a pan over a low flame. Then salad. Slices of warmed Italian boule drizzled with extra virgin olive oil (maybe a sprinkle of sea salt and oregano). Nuts. Espresso. Dark Chocolate (85%).

But that's just for dinner.

I'm looking forward...Homemade egg salad on thin slices of that very same Italian boule. Utz potato chips. Grapefruit segments.

But that's just for lunch.

I'm looking forward...Toasted sesame seed bagel with salted butter. Slices of Gala. Hot coffee with milk (and Roberto takes sugar).

But that's just for breakfast.

I'm looking forward...Friends and family around the dinner table. Laughing. Eating. Drinking.

But that's just the weekend.

I'm looking foward...

  2. Lovely collection of thoughts and photos. "TNG" = Star Trek: The Next Generation? If so, I grew up watching, and I'm fairly certain that, thanks to my mother the super-fan, I've seen every episode. If not, it was obviously otherwise entertaining :)

What are your thoughts on Bouchons au Thon?

    Cheers,

  6. Kath – Thanks :)

Nicole – That's one thing you can be sure of!

    Denise – Food happy :)

squirrelbread – Yep, The Next Generation. We're huge fans. Only one thought on Bouchons au Thon, delicious :)

Michele – It's one of those winters where having a well supplied pantry makes all the difference in the world.

Lindsay – It is almost always food related. Thanks :)

Nicolette - Thank you :) I've been stressed and overwhelmed at work. It really zapped the life out of me. It was quite a task getting this post up, but hopefully it's gotten me back on track. Fingers crossed.

  7. You're back!!! HOORAY! HOORAY! :-) I'm so glad you're looking forward, Tracey. :-) I'm doing the same thing, choosing to not get mired down in the pain and stress of the last few weeks, keeping my eyes fixed on the things and people who give me hope. May you have MUCH hope in your heart today. :-)

(it has been a rough season. we spent many cold nights with The Millennium Trilogy on audiodisc---so great to have someone read to you in the winter drear)

  11. i am always "looking forward" (and sometimes backwards) to your posts Tracy. They have that quotidian feel of just enjoying the present moment.
