The guards stood watching

IMG_5334

The younger set sat with necks bent and eyes unblinking with tiny buds inserted into their ears. The middle set pushed buggies overflowing with offspring down narrow sidewalks. The older set spoke loudly to one another in great halls and dozed to free concerts held in library basements.

We walked and ate and walked and ate. To parks. To restaurants. To subway stops. To great halls. To library basements.

It leaves one done. At the end.

  1. I like the sound of free concerts in library basements, of walking, then stopping to eat and the space and calmness I feel in your photo. Those blue tones with the blur of the red - lovely.

    1. This would have been your kind of day. I'm sure of it. Right down to the last detail.
