A day from Venice

IMG_5831

With just having returned, we are muddling through. But, we muddle well.

I woke with a start at 6 a.m. to scrub off the travel layer. To wash clothes. To create a Sunday breakfast of hard boiled eggs, avocado, bagels, greek yogurt, orange juice and coffee.

I clipped roses from the courtyard and washed dishes for the first time in over two weeks.

A solid start.

    1. Thanks, Denise. They do, but the white ones smell better. I couldn't reach the white ones.

  2. I hope you had a wonderful time in Venice. Sometimes it feels good to get back into routine, no matter how dreary it is. And post-travel showers are literally the best showers ever.

    1. Nancy, I'm sorry we weren't in Rome at the same time. What a treat it would have been to cook and eat with both you and Rachel.

    1. It felt solid. And, coming home to a blooming garden and sunshine was just the right finish.
