With just having returned, we are muddling through. But, we muddle well.
I woke with a start at 6 a.m. to scrub off the travel layer. To wash clothes. To create a Sunday breakfast of hard boiled eggs, avocado, bagels, greek yogurt, orange juice and coffee.
I clipped roses from the courtyard and washed dishes for the first time in over two weeks.
A solid start.
You do muddle well, Tracy. I hope those roses smell good.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Denise. They do, but the white ones smell better. I couldn't reach the white ones.
DeleteI hope you had a wonderful time in Venice. Sometimes it feels good to get back into routine, no matter how dreary it is. And post-travel showers are literally the best showers ever.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Elizabeth. You are right about the post-travel shower, indeed.
DeleteHi Tracy--I'm in Roma, almost on your heels...had a beautiful lunch with Rachel and Luca. Hope your Italian journey has been spectacular. muddle and muse !
ReplyDeleteNancy, I'm sorry we weren't in Rome at the same time. What a treat it would have been to cook and eat with both you and Rachel.
Deletemust have been a "solid" vacation. Returning to smell the roses: how great.
ReplyDeleteIt felt solid. And, coming home to a blooming garden and sunshine was just the right finish.
