One Day Last Week

I believe it was Friday. Yes, it was.

I brought home a recipe. I carelessly didn't wait for the butter to come to room temperature. I didn't add the tablespoon of orange juice required when adding in extras (one cup chopped walnuts and one cup bittersweet chocolate chips).

None of that mattered. They were delicious.

There will be more cookies today, tomorrow, and the next (I like using serial commas).

I'm thinking these this afternoon...I'll substitute the vegetable oil with olive oil, I think.

Oh me, I really should stick with my original cookie plan.

  1. Mmmm cookies :)

I always use serial commas (even though I didn't know until now what they were called in English).

Did you get a new camera Tracy? Your photographs lately have been amazing!!

  3. Magda - I'm using a Canon PowerShot SX210 IS. Just experimenting with the settings lately. Something I should have done a long time ago :)

Nicole - We have many things in common. Although, I think the comma should have come after the word 'and,'...no? I need a proofreader.

  4. Temptation is nipping at my heels. Too many beautiful cookies. I was hoping, my dear, that you'd stick with those nice chocolate chip beauties. Now you've shown me whole grain and chocolate crinkles. I just don't know what to do. There are Vanessa's spekulatius and Lecia's cherry-chocolate-almond cookies. I might just buy some anise biscotti at Stella Pastry and call it a day.

  5. I love Chocolate Crinkles, and make them every year.
But I never used the oil in place of the butter. Please let us know how they turned out.
